Zhipeng Cai, a graduate student from the Department of Computer Science, won the 2013 CCF (China Computer Federation) Outstanding Students Award. He was also invited and got full financial aid to attend the China National Computer Congress 2013 held in Changsha from October 24th to 26th. The congress gathered scholars and experts in the field of computer from all over the world, including Vinton G. Cerf, vice president of Google, awardee of Turing Award. Besides, awardees of the Outstanding Students Award visited the National University of Defense Technology. On behalf the School of Information Science and Engineering, Zhipeng shared his understanding about big data, computer network, cloud computing and machine language with other attendees. Zhipeng also volunteered as Chinese translator in the congress. Zhipeng Cai is the first student to get the award in Xiamen University.
